We design, manufacture, and sell custom pump systems and complete pump stations for all industries, including sewage lift stations, water booster stations, and chemical metering systems. We service the municipal, industrial and commercial markets for pumps and pumping equipment as well as OEM accounts. PumpTech has multiple locations in the Pacific Northwest: Bellevue WA, Moses Lake WA, Nampa ID, Superior, MT and Canby OR.

We are currently looking for an experienced, creative customer service oriented Outside Sales Manager to join our Oregon team. This position will represent both the municipal & industrial markets. The qualified person will be highly motivated and show a combination of great attention to detail and high energy to successfully work this territory in a mostly autonomous role.

Territory: Southern Oregon

WHAT YOU WILL DO

· Generating sales with existing customers and develop opportunities with new customers within assigned territory.

· Develop innovative pump system solutions based on the needs of the customer.

· Collaborate with engineers to generate specifications for pump systems to meet the application needs of the customer.

· Develop detailed and accurate quotes, submittals, and BOMs for customers.

· Determine pump size and select all types of pumps for the water, waste water, industrial process, food processing, and petro‐chemical markets to meet customer specifications.

· Project manage sold pump systems and pump stations from time of order, through design, submittal purchasing, manufacturing, delivery and final startup.

· Continuously update customers on product changes and modifications.

· Organize and attend joint sales calls with vendors.

· Work as part of a team of sales personnel, sharing knowledge, supporting each other, and be committed to working together to achieve the common goal of providing premier customer service.

· Attend continuing education of represented pump products.

· Attend Trade Shows and Conferences (if applicable).

· Liaison between customers and the company for up-to-date status of service, and pricing.

· Performing maintenance and update customers’ accounts including contact names for future sales.

· Keep up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by attending training and departmental meetings.

WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES

· High School Diploma required. Post Secondary courses in Sales and/or Marketing an asset.

· Must have working knowledge of pumps in the industrial or municipal market; how pumps work, how they are applied and basic hydraulics.

· 1-3 years progressively responsible sales experience of tangible products in B2B environment.

· Strong attention to detail balanced by the ability to prioritize activities.

· Math skills required, including basic algebra and ability to read graphs. Reading and understanding a pump curve, highly desirable.

· Experience working with customers in defining product needs.

· Ability to problem-solve to arrive at best solution.

· Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.

· Strong project and time management skills; may be required to attend additional PM training.

· Ability to multitask between multiple projects, quotes, training and other job duties as assigned

· Proficient computer skills required.

· Good driving record and ability to spend days on the road traveling throughout the territory.

· Travel to various locations (customers or company).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
